Ebay has transmissions for $1100, do the work yourself and save some $$.

tranny and a spec clutch would run you nearly 2g's... do the work with a couple know-how friends or forum peeps and that'll save you another 2g's =)

+1 for that.

try audifans.com classifieds for a tranny. Seen them go for relatively cheap. Heck, got my haldex LSC WITH a controller and rear diff for $500 off there. I could probably sell that controller for that and make my money back if I wanted.

He can get a VR6/G60 upgrade for cheap as hell from ecs or fourseasonstuning. Add in another $1k for good used tranny and it should be able to be swapped in at a shop for ~2k. Dont let one shop make you think its not worth keeping. Honestly, your car isnt going to fetch much with no tranny and that many miles on it.

If you sell it, that would be a good way to get a new one w/o blue interior

I happen to like the blue interior, would be a little better if it was painted a different color though.
