but my budjet is about 15k (also want cruise control on it for my many motorway journeys =p)

was just wondering what are the common problems tt's face?
and how much does servicing usualy cost?

ah also as i know little about cruise control....

if you want to save petrol during a long journey can cruise control help this due to the fact you wont be pressing the gas as much.
or does cruise control result in more petrol being used some how =p cheers

Most common issues ive seen with tt's are maf, sway bar bushings, and instrument cluster/fuel gauge sending units. Rattles too. High milage cars can be very relialbe but alot of that depends on how the car was treated earlier in life. Make sure the timeing belt is in good shape. Cruise control can slightly increase milage in most situations. In hilly conditions your probably better off without it.

Plastic around the rear window, and my cup holder rattle, thats it. Cup holder was tightened down, and that fixes it most of the time (still makes noise a bit). Rear window creak was fixed with a piece of paper folded up and wedged between the plastic, and the hatch itself. Fixed.

I have had a cluster replaced though.
