It needs a new hood too. That means paint all the way to the edge of the doors to blend. Paint job was around $1800 and the rest was parts.

Dont feel too bad. I had a deer run into my silver A6. Two weeks after it got fixed, another deer ran into the car, literally. The deer impacted the my driver side door! A few weeks after i got the car fixed the second time, some broad who was driving a B5 while texting ran into me and totaled the A6. She was dumber than the deers.

Will the insurance give you the $4000 dollars and let you deal with the repairs yourself?

Yeah. I've seen that pic before. I'm just going to get the car fixed right. It's my baby. It'll get every cent to be repaired and actually maybe more for an aftermarket grill. I'm thinking of getting the 3M clear bra put on too, once the paint is cured.

i see a lot of moose crossing signs here in vt, but haven't seen a moose yet. I wanna keep it that way. If I hit one of those at speed, i'd only hit its legs and send it flipping into my windshield, where it would most likely kill me. tall moose + short car = FFFFUUUUUUUUUUU....
