My hands, I am pretty sure, are larger than yours and I was able to change the bulbs without pulling the headlight assembly out. You'll probably scratch your hands up some.

Got freakishly large hands - no can do - tried even pulling just the fogs out for upgrade replacement - they still sit in my office desk draw...

For the parking lights you just need to take off your left engine cover (coolant cover) for the Passenger side and the Battery cover for the driver side. It's the Bulb holders that don't have any wires going into them. Just twist and pull them out. Takes about 20 seconds to swap the parking light bulbs without removing anything but the 2 engine covers. Also the bulbs are
cheaper at your VW dealer. 3 bucks vs 15 bucks at the Audi dealer. Scratch that. The Parking light bulbs are now $16.98 at the Audi and the VW Stealerships.
I actually got mine today at the Mercedes Dealership for $3.20 a piece. I got 4 of them just in case the bulbs go out again.

No need to pull the bumper off if regular or less sized hands. One may need to use a unique angle/contortion if it is the drivers side, passengers side is much easier to reach.
