Ok my radar is driving me crazy on my tt i have a 2001 225 6spd with the built in radar i have another radar on the windshiweld but im curious on the built in one how do i turn it on? when i do turn it on the button glows red or w/e but then turns off and wont turn back on rrr i wish i had a manual for my car

 

how can you turn it on if when you turn it off it doesnt turn back on?

 

it turns itself off i turn it on then like 5 mins later its off and wont turn back on then later that day or the next day it works again its strange

built in radar? how do you know if your car has one of these?

 

I have never heard of a stock radar detector in any Audi.
Are you speaking of the button next to the trunk release, and gas cover release?

 

wow, that'd be pretty awesome if I had a built in radar detector

 

You can hardwire one, and tuck it away neatly.

 

two schools of thought, 1, radar dectors will alert me of the fuzz when speeding. 2. no radar detectors equals you will be on your toes when speeding, so you you will more cautious and avoid the ticket. i personaly don't use a dector and have been fine, when i used a dector i have been fined!!!!

 

ya the button next to trunk open i was told it was radar and the thing on the ceiling that flips down by the light was the detector???
