I have a friend that selling his 2005 s2k, yes, my TT inspired him after I bought it 2months ago..
but he said the shift between each gear is so long. So I test drive his s2k and found out the shift movement is really short and fast~
Just wondering how many people have installed the shirt shift kit.
and he said this will be his first mod~

yea, he agreed that our TT's style never look out date!

 

i would like one, to bad no ebay version like a4/passat guys ([:@]) currently i just have on my sparco **** and it took about 1.5" of height off but not really that much shorter of a shift.

 

installed the dieselgeek short shifter....the throws are shorter but I don't think it's as smooth as S2K

 

i read the forum and people said dieselgeek has the best kit. $195... still thinking.

I dont think its long at all, I have a 95 Jetta VR6 and that was sooooo long of a throw anything less than that and I am happy. I think its all in how you drive your car and what you get used to.

 

Just hold it at the base of the shaft when you throw it. that'll take off like 3". I sometimes do that, but I just rest it between my middle finger and thumb lightly when I shift. push up with the thumb... and pull down with the bird. that's just my shifting method though. I doubt its something someone could just adapt to.

 

Dieselgeek. I've installed the B&M in a VW, too much work. Look up my post, it has photos with it installed.

 

MMmm i too have heard good things about the dieselgeek although i do not have one in for myself
