How much did you pay for your car? Me first!
Just curious about how much everybody paid for their car... new or used... I'll start with mine... If you could include if you bought new, year, 180 or 225, price and options... might be able to help new buyers with pricing stand point...
My car is a 2001 quattro 225. Paid $10,500... Comes in black on black with a manual transmission... had 60,5xx miles. One owner car, clean car fax. Unfortunately, no service history. Before the car was sold previous owner had new brakes all around, new rear tires, all fluids changed. Since the car was at 60k I asked the owner to split with me the cost of a new timing belt, water pump and thermostat... Unfortunately at the time I bought the car the gauges were fine, couple days later gas and temp started acting up... Overall, I thought I got a decent deal..Now just have to get the gauge fixed...

should also indicate when you bought it.
i paid 10.5 for my 180tt that is a late build 2001 with ~70k miles. i bought this almost 2 years ago. it was a super deal at the time :-)
silver on black, needed to do TB job.
it had factory dual exhaust and a dual rear valence (i say factory, because apparently its on my build code or something).

i have a 2001 TTQ 180hp paid 20k OTD in 2003, and had 22k miles. Never had many problems until the mods came. Cluster was replaced once for bad fuel guage. since the mods all the bushings struts coils and all the common hoses that break.
nice deal on that one with the blown motor. did the TB fail and muck up the head, or did they actually blow the motor worse?
these are getting cheaper now, but we're all pretty much starting to hit many of the same problems.

i paid 17,500 for an 01 with 44K on it (225 quattro), but that was a year and a half ago when the prices were still kinda high for these cars. matter of fact the 17,500 deal was the best one i could find at the time, with most of the cars with similar build year/mileage were going for over 20,000.
once the MK2 came out i saw the prices for these cars drop dramatically. so it kills me when i see some of you who just bought it this year for way less than i paid. but then again, it must REALLY kill the guy who bought it new for 35,000 or whatever in 01.
right now is a GREAT time to get a sweet deal on a TT. hell they are getting so cheap lately that im half-tempted to pick up another one just for fun! haha

'03 225QC, nothing wrong, completely stock, clean Carfax w/service records, loaded w/Bose, heated seats, 18in Super 7s, 38xxx miles, all for $16,700 in December '07... found the car in Ohio from an award winning dealer on eBay. Only missing the owners manual & radio code.
Cluster developed dead lines this summer, that is being replaced for free. Timing belt system is a-ok and passed inspection, leaving Audi responsible for repairs if it fails between now and 80,000 miles
