Parts and labor? - Depends on where you go.

Some people have spent around $1400.

While others like myself have spent only $500. - I bought mine from ECS tuning. - They have a great selection of products. - Not to mention they appear to be better than OEM and cheaper.

I also would not suggest taking it to the dealership as they will charge you an arm and a leg. - I also would not suggest you find the cheapest shop in the world, or you'll end up paying an arm and a leg for there mistakes. - Find a good shop that charges a fair price and go for it.

Again though I would suggest ECS tuning for the kit.

Best of luck.

you really needed to search before you asked that question... a quick look and you can see that ECStuning.com offers quite a few TB combos... quite a few other companies offer Kits too

I know that dieselgeek offers a kit that includes a replacement waterpump that has a metal impeller. It seems some folks have noticed their current waterpump impellers have begun to crack because their impellers are plastic.

Parts (including the metal, not plastic, impeller) and labor at the dealer were $700 for my '01 TT.

How important is it? REALLY important.

Carousel in Minneapolis. I bought it at an import dealer who specializes in BMW and Mercedes, so they farmed it out to Carousel for the work right after I bought it, at my request (I had been doing my reading here!)

Ouch is right.

Most of us have gotten it done for a fraction of that! Yikes!
