How would you build a TT?
Imagine that you were just given a 2001 Audi TT Quattro 225hp with 75000 miles on it... you have 8000 dollars to do whatever you want to it... what would you do without replacing the turbo or engine?...(list the mods you would add and the approximate cost of each)
If you dont plan on replacing the turbo, i would drop it all on high end parts like: coilovers (pss9), wheels, tires, sway bars, lightweight parts, and all the engine bolt ons. Youshould still have a few k left over.
your questions are going to get old if you dont start search the forums first.
you're best bet is to go to the vortex tt classifieds and start scanning for vendor threads with sales.

first thing id check is if the timing belt was done or not.
if not, thats the first thing to do.
make sure all the maintenance is done first, and go from there.
best of luck!!

umm... if you have 8 grand why in the h#$% would you not upgrade the turbo [>:]lol
well in that case since your not upgrading the turbo, just take a envelope stick about 4 grand of it in there and mail it to me so I can do my turbo project!

Here are some sites for car parts and if you want to do more exterior i recommend some of the tmtuning.com parts... NICE! and some are cheap i guess.
tmtuning.com - mainly for exterior, few engine mods
ecstuning.com - WIDE variety of mods
ttstuff.com - name explains it all
esetuning.com -
shop.achtuning.com
tuner-stop.com- few items for audi tt but MKV of jetta 1.8L has about the same things like fmic kit, downpipes + testpipes etc.
Ebay - believe it or not ... ALOT Of used parts
Def. forums- classified things there - I bought some nice and cheap parts on classified sections of forums
Before everything check your car out for maintenance first ..
hopefully this helped in finding some of the mods you wanted
