Default I hate the wind!

Well I was putting my brand new AWE vent gauge in yesterday and I finaly ran the vac hose from the fpr to inside the car and was about to put the gague in the vent when I hear a thud. I look over and the gauge is laying on the ground! I pick it up, it looks fine ::sigh of relief:: and then I notice that it is on 24 lbs of boost. The needle came loose from the fall. I got the needle back to zero but I'm not sure if it will work. Anyone think that it might work? The needle is steady now so I still have hope. Also I am having trouble getting the grey piece the goes under the steering wheel to fit back on. The are two clips on either side of the steering wheel that dont want to fit properly anyone have any tips or tricks as to how to get that piece back on?

Default RE: I hate the wind!

Are you talking about the bolster(lower dash by knees) panel or the shroud that goes around the steering column? If you are referring to the bolster than mine did that too- I found that the top clips in with pressure fit tabs- if they aren't lined up exactly right on the first attempt, pressing the piece on will bend them back and it won't ever fit or go on right. Take the bolster off and look on the dash, there are the metal female components to the retaining clips, bend these back towards the drivers seat- till they are about perpendicular to the floor and when you re-install the panel pay attention to these first, then get the bottom in and screwed back. Hope it helps-
