i think i found the one!!!!
hm well now im not sure what to do. The guy has a Lien on the tittle so he still owes on it. I dont know if i go up there and he doesnt actually have the tittle what i do. I would imagine he has some sort of lien release or something like that... He banks with the military (dont know what the bank is called im waiting to hear back from him) but he said the bank is out or Texas. So i would either
1)have to wait until he actually has the tittle in his hand
or
2)?
anyone have some input?

don't do anythin without a title!!!!! been there done that have gotten fu**ed so hard it's crazy. went to court and everythin and lost. it was only 3000 for a tsi but still you can get fu*ked too!!!
The title issue is a stick in the spokes. I would use an escrow service and delay picking the car up until you have the title in your hands. This is the problem with buying a car in a remote locale and one that has a lien on the title. Bummer.
yeah he sent me an e-mail today and said someone local is willing to pay his asking price so it looks like i cant get it now... He said had "I" had everything worked out with the banks it would be a different story. "I" have nothing to work out. I dont need a loan i have the money all i was waiting for was his dumbass to tell me when i could come up there and get it. Whatever i guess i will just try to find another one.
I had the same issue. Tried to buy one that the dude had a loan on. Long story short, don't bother. The way around it would be to get your loan from the same bank he has his loan.
12,500 is my max. I cant afford anymore than that so it is difficult to find what i want....
I dont need a loan and i dont want one. I have 12,500 so thats what i can spend.
The one in MN i contacted his bank and found out what i needed to do he just backed out last minute. Glad i didnt get a plane ticket yet because i would have told him "to bad see you on monday" lol. Anyway, im sure i will find one in my price range. I just hate driving the cavy everyday its boring...
my zip is 61761. Like i said i will fly if the price is right. I just cant find ANYTHING reasonable. I guess 12,500 isnt enough to buy a 225? i dunnos
