this is true, but the cast process beefs up the aluminum. feel an intake manifold that is all aluminum(not just a cast piece that is polished)and then a cast manifold. The cast piece will not feel as hot. and when i say "better than that aluminum stuff" i mean the cheap looking polish they put on it. too shiny for me.
Our hand made welded and polished end tanks probably cost more to make than the entire (outsourced) APR intercooler.

Your thoughts about the manifolds are completely wrong. It is all about thermal capacity, once those thicker heavier cast endtanks are heatsoaked they will stay that way, it will actually heat your charge air until equilibrium is reached.

Try a little experiement: throw a piece of tinfoil (thin gauge) and a pot (cast) into an oven and heat them to the same temperature. Now measure their temperature every minute, you will find that the tinfoil will probably reach room temperature before you take your first measurement while the pot will require an amount of time several hundreds of times greater to cool... this is an extreme example for illustrative purposes.

^ very extreme example used.its ok patty you dont have to try and make the forge FMIC look better than APRs....the dynos are there and its a fact theAPR FMIC can handle much more HP than Forges.aluminium foil isprepared in thin sheets (about 0.02mm in thickness).this comparing to a cast pot? i understand where you are going with this but this isnt exactly how it is

If it can stand up to the temps ill be making, it can hold up to all. Its in the name of science.
