Default ignition coils

Well about a month ago my ignition coils went bad and I went to the Audi dealer to see if they had a recall on them, and of course they checked my VIN and said no. So I bought 4 from them, as online stores where out, at a cost of 210 dollars. I only paid 105 for them cuz they only had 2 come in, so I paid for those two and was told to come back in a few days. I came back they asked if I already paid and I said yes so they just gave me the other two. Well the other day I get a letter from Audi saying there is a recall on the parts. So I go down to the dealer and they say since I already paid I will have to write the main Audi headquarters and send them a receipt so I can get my money back. Man they really know how to play games.

Hmm i wonder if those crappy coils we put in the a4 will fail in the tt as well. Couldnt tell you why it took a year to figure that one out.

My opinion (and no one may care) but anytime you can get the "stealership" back is well worth the effort, dont get me wrong its nice to have a professional that knows everything about the car, sometimes.
