Importing a 2000 TT to Canada.
Hey guys,
I am thinking about importing a TT to Canada from the US, and Transport Canada says that "Some 2000 TT models require changing the seat back for tether anchorage modifications. Importer should verify with VW of America before bringing the vehicle to Canada. The modification may be expensive."
Can anyone tell me more about this modification? I searched the forums and googled, but except for government pdfs stating that same thing, I'm not coming up with anything useful. I want to know if maybe this applies to convertibles only (the car in question is a coupe manufactured in April 2000), or maybe how expensive it is if I do have to do it.
Any info would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks in advance.

On top of that you'll have to put the tumors on the bumpers to meet the 5mph bumper requirement for about $2000. You'd be money ahead by finding a TT in Canada.
