Default Installed 3" dp and full decat deresonated 3" exhaust

well as you can see from the topic of the thread i recently did a custom 3" Dp with straight 3" pipe with cats or resonator to reach a 3" catback. the total cost was 300$ well all i can say is wow , talk about a major difference in performance the car pulls so much better up top. i know you are going to ask me why didnt i get 42DD 3" system well mainly due to shipping cost would be huge and i really dont want to pay that much saving up for T3/T4 turbo. anyways i will provide pictures as soon as possible i have taken pictures on my iphone however due to me being a smartass i tried to update the software and screwed up the memory and had to jailbreak it, so to keep a long story short i will provide pictures hopefully tomorow because today its raining. do i need to redo the software for the car or is the chip i already have is sufficient. tc guys and i highly recommend this mod.

so is it afe to say going full custom will net the same or reasonably similiar gains as name brand? I want more than sound in an exhaust!!!! I'd appreciate it!

yes going custom will gain similar hp. especially if you go mandrel bent piping. Buying a name brand exhaust is just buying a name imo. The only time it starts to really make a difference would be in actual engine components, turbos... and things like that.

wait wait $300 on a quattro car?! the DP alone would've cost more trying to engineer piping through that tight squeeze

that's blasphemy!
