I just installed the forge Diverter valve and I just got a check engine light a couple of hours later..Can it be because of the diverter valve..Has this happened to anyone? By the way i have a 2000 tt quattro ..

When I first got my car I used the Forge DV and through a code. I had my car chipped by GIAC and the guy there didnt know why either so we replaced the stock one and it went away. Put the forge back in and back came the code so I returned the forge and went with bailey and all is good. Still dont know what the problem was but the bailey seemed to work so I stayed with it.

Not likely.. .but anything is possible. Did you make sure you have all the hoses hooked up correctly?

Get VAG-COM and pull the codes or stop by Autozone and have them read them for you.

I have to swap in a new DV and was thinking I'd go ahead and upgrade to a Forge or the like. No chip yet or anything soI AMworried I'll throw a CEL.

Maybe I'll just do a stock225 DV on my 180. Is this any better or the samethan just anotherstock 180 DV?

EDITED!!

the diaphram on the 225 valve, the 710N, is stonger than the rest of the 710's. There are people using them on apr stage 3(+) so they can hold the boost. The only downside is that the diaphram will eventually wear out and leak/tear.

Ok the shop told me that the check engine light thru out the code of the oxygen sensor..and they told me that they are going to reset it and see if it comes back again..so would the oxygen sensor code come up because of the diverter valve?..
