Default Instrument Cluster Settlement Update!!!

Well I decided to go snooping as I noticed my tach starting to act up (in addition to the speedo which has been dead, well forever) and found some interesting information. I contacted the Lawyers for the Settlement (Cluster settlement) and found out that the final agreement was not reached until June 26. This means that they will not begin notifying and processing claims for 4-6 weeks. That puts roll out of notices around the 24th of this month. I am slightly pissed off as I sent my paperwork and claim by certified mail on the 13th and still have to wait this long. Just wanted to pass along this information to all the others with similar concerns.

~Any one else have some news to share?

When I heard about the cluster settlement a few months back. I just called in Audi and asked them about it.. They said yes and to just bring the car in and they will replace it. There is a special service code that pertains to the cluster. I never filled out any paperwork in conjunction with this settlement.

What year is you car? If it is within the 5yr./60K mile base warranty then yes they will. However, my local Audi dealer sent me to Audi Corporate who told me to mail my stuff in....

~Oh well. I guess I don't really need to know how fast I'm going...

I have an 04 TTQ. When I called in about the cluster issue I had 80k+ miles on my car. They told me to make appointment and bring it in. I was busy so didn't bring it to be changed.

I called the dealer I bought the car from. They told me to bring it in to have it replaced. I asked did I have to bring it to them & they said I could take it to any Audi dealer. So I called Penske Audi by my house and they said to bring the car in to have it replaced aswell. I made the appointment to bring it in but never actually did it.
