Intakes. Would you buy one?
I will post pics of this new intake i'll be making. I will have access to two different kinds of filters....A stainless steel mesh(this means no oil problems for the MAF) and the best.. K&N it will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 180-200 bucks powdercoated! price will change for the better when i can start making a good amount of them.
This will be a much better solution to the Modshack Intake that costs around 300. First i need to know how many people are interested.

So you going to make Steve type quotes like this
1.The Neuspeed P-flow displays the highest airflow in our tests and is one to consider.
It flattens the Torque curve and has the best airflow of the bunch.
5. The VTDA was a good all rounder in this test although in general it seemed the oem air box was more torque biased than the induction kits. This meaning more low end power!!
On the UK tests, you can ignore HP and Torque numbers. They are calculated,
not measured and are highly inaccurate when measured with a VAG on a chipped
car. About the only valid data is the G/sec air flow. The P-flow does flow
more at high RPM's at the expense of heat so most of the small gains there
are potentially lost. Read the Temp tests here:

"Below the curve" and the VTDA shines there hence the comment of Best all

On heat, some say it doesn't matter. 6.5 years with this car and lots of
experimenting, I say it does. No matter that it's going through a Hot

Noise: have you ever run an open element filter? You may not like it. Few
do in the long run.
I've had lots of guys that have moved from the P-Flow to the VTDA and have
been very happy with the change.

LMAO no i will leave him alone. he puts a lot of time and work into his products...the **** and BM both work great. and .clipse i might consider that. or you can try and sell it. trust me you guys these intakes are gonna rock. bringing the best of both worlds....some heat sheilding and much much more flow than most intakes.....see my problem with the modshack intakes is that it only lets air in a certain location. through the opening of the heat shielding can. now i;m gonna do some testing to see where exactly the air flows into the car so my intakes will allow flow where it needs it most.

say you have a 4 in intake tube, what happens when the air gets to the turbo opening which is around what, 2.25 - 2.5 inches? Does it get forced in quicker which spools quicker? Ive been curious about this for awhile.

Exhaust gas make the turbo spool andboost settings determines howmuch air it needs. You just need to have a intake system that has the air there when its needed. The inlet for a ko3/4 are ~2" so having the intake post maf much bigger doesnt matter since it intake is going to have to taper eventually.
