Default Interesting Brake issue.

For the past couple days I noticed that every once in awhile the brake pedal would seem to have no pressure then as I pumped the brakes they would build the pressure and work properly.....or so I thought. This morning I started the car backed out of my spot and the brake pad light came on. No biggie I thought....Ill just order new pads and do it this weekend. Well I just came home and checked and it appears as though the inside pad on the drivers side is slipping right out of the caliper. I didn't do to much because it was hot but Ive never seen that happen before. Has anyone had this happen and if so what was the outcome? Should I replace the pads and go for it? Replace pads and rotors? Issue with the caliper? The rotors are only a year old and Im surprised the pads would have worn that quickly so Im wondering if there is an underlying issue I should check for before ordering anything.
