Default Introductions

I am new to the site, have been looking for more information than my local VW/Audi forum can provide. And, let's be honest, the Vortex is not cutting it for TT knowledge.

I work for a VW dealer as a service writer and have been working in the automotive industry for a few years now. I have owned a dozen or so cars in my life from a Merkur XR4Ti to a Honda Civic. I hate to fix cars, but manage to drive and break them very well. I currently have a 01 TT 180Q (AWP engine) with 85,000 miles on it. Current mods are very minor as I haven't had time or money to mod since I bought the car as a birthday present for myself.

Current Mods:
-Descreened MAF
-Gutted airbox with Panel filter (ITG I think)
-De-resonated exhaust
-Spiffy boost gauge
-Forge Splitter DV
-DIY front lip
-DIY sidemarkers
-Debadged
-Removed backing panels from lower grills for air flow
-painted Black 6 spoke wheels
-Rear seat delete

The Plan: Eventually I would like to have 300-350whp, But my plans are very unsure as I am not sure a full tune K03s will satisfy me. The current plan (as of 4/14) are:
-T3T4 turbo
-Custom FMIC with HKS core
-Custom 3' exhuast with TTStuff rear valence
-Custom intake with HKS shroom filter
-Unitronic Tune
-660cc injectors
-Walbro 225lph pump
-I.E. Rods

~OR~

-Unitronic stage 2
-Custom FMIC
-Custom 3' DP and exhaust
-K04
-TIP

~I will post some pics later. In the meanwhile, any help with which way I should go? I am leaning toward the K04 setup and throw some more money toward the suspension and brakes instead of focusing on speed unitl I get out of college.

VW closes a 6:00, the resonator sounds like a 42DD 1.8T exhaust and sounds very good, especially without a rear seat or spare tire.

~Post pics as soon as I get home.

Trust me, you are going to want something more than a stock turbo, either ko3 or 4. Also, dont get a HKS core, you can get a far better one from garrett.
