Just Dynoed
I dynoed today at Taylor's Sport-N-Import (taylorimports.com)in Mooresville, NC. They have a AWD Mustang Chassis Dyno. My 01 225qc put down 234hp and 229ft-lb tq. at the wheels. That was in AWD w/o the haldex unplugged. Does that sound bout right on that type of dyno.

No.
That sounds too high to me, but I don't have any experience with that dyno.

I thought they seemed high too the pulls were in 3rd and asfar as i know thecar isnt chipped. The 3" is turbo back as in custom dp too. I dont have a scanner but here is a pic from the digi cam. first is the graph second is the numbers and it was 229tq not 227. I edited it the original.

Not trying to be a smartass but what makes the dyno worthless?I will go back again before too long and try it in FWD just to see what the numbers are. I pulled three times and all three were within 3-5hp and tq of each other. Also the dyno had some kinda brake on it that was suppose to simulate actually driving on the road? IDK cincy your the expert lol.
THere is haldex waves and there is that. That thing far surpases the 5-15whp peaks and valleys like any other awd dyno. If it was done in fwd, you would have a nice smooth curve instead of what you got. The power isnt contant between the fronts and rears on the haldex and since its constantly changing, a awd dyno isnt all that useful. I know people like to have awd dynos, but no matter how you do it, your not going to have a clean/valid dyno.
But not to sound like a smart ***, but you didnt think that massive spike at 3100-3500 and massive valley at 4700-5200 is normal do you? Also that 3-5hp is a peak, i would love to see all 3 and compare them. I would bet none of them remotely look alike. They should of said something to you about it reading like that after the first run! [>:]

I knew doing it inAWDit would have spikes and valleys, so iwas expecting the spikesand didnt think anything of the big spikes at 3100-3500 and massive valley at 4700-5200(this is the first car i have ever dynoed so i didint really know what to look for) i was hoping the garage knew what they were looking for. As far as the other 2 go there practicallythe same, spikes and valleys in same areas. Oh well ill take it back and get it done in FWD and see what it does. Give me 2 weeks to get up some of the extra cash. The main reason for this was to get a baseline before some other parts go on.
