Well with all the problems i've had with my tt none have been as stressful as the clutch/starter issue I recently went through, however it was well worth it. The new stage 1 ECS tuning clutch is amazing. It grabs HARD, and pulls HARDER. I feel even less drive train loss...allowing me to accelerate faster... completely worth the buy. Now for all of you wondering if it should be lighter or not. I have talked to the dealer and ECS tuning, you will notice if you install it that it is lighter (weight when pressing down) ...but you will notice a benefit in this...it allows you to push your foot down faster,...and its smoother...allowing you to control the shifts better.


One odd thing though. With my new clutch now....and chip.... I am able to hold gears well into redline, for obvious reasons I wont...but I want others to be aware of this.

I also topped my car out this morning...(I had to do a field test) ...my car with the new clutch maxes out because of RPM's ...at 135mph. I'm not sure if it gears differently or what...but it accelerates faster...but doesn't go as fast...ive been told this car can do 145....according to my cluster it is not possible.

Sounds good be careful most clutches have a break in period, my SPEC was 500 miles. Then I went an romped on it. I'm glad things are working good for you now, and to think you were thinking of selling?

 

I still am thinking about selling it, If I have 1 more major issue with this car I will be fixing it and putting it up on ebay the next day.

Its a great car dont get me wrong, and to my knoweldge I have fixed what should be fixed....and nothing else major should go wrong,...but like i said....this car is in the shop more than it is on the road. My 7 series went into the shop 3 times. Each time the dealership paid for it...not me ...other than that the car was flawless.


so lets just keep our fingers crossed because this car is a blast to drive!....But if it does end up having to be sold, i'll be looking at a 2005 Mercedes SLK55 AMG. That however will give the TT more than a run for its money

 

Sounds good, ill try to give you a run for you money, but hell this is comming from the guy who will race anything, Z06, Porshe, Mustang Cobra (dosent matter the year) I mean hell you never know what you can beat or how fast the other guy is untill you line up with them and roll out! Gota love those M3 look a likes.... hehe
