Default LED Tail Lights

Anybody have any info about LED tail lights? I really like the look and just put in LED license plate lights which makes me want them even more haha.

I've been looking around some forums but can't seem to find much.

Any info helps, thanks!

^sorry, I've been out of the TT crowd for a bit...

Do you have a Mk1 or Mk2? Also, is this a mod for OEM taillights, or are the lights you're referring to aftermarket?

mk1 for the OEM tail lights. Just trying to swap out the bulbs if possible, but I'm sure it can't be that easy!

^ahh, I see. Well, all the LED bulb replacements that I've seen have been swap-in replacements that do not require any modification or disassembly of the tails

^they're brighter, but like precision said I don't think that you'll get a huge aesthetic improvement. Do a google search; your bulb type should be out there. Let us know how they look!

I just changed my stock front blinker bulbs for LED ones and there is NO difference! I left one stock one in and put an LED in the other one, turned off the lights in the garage and put on the hazards, forgot which one i had the LED in... waste of money! HAHA!

The guys are right on the rear bulb changing, it is real easy and you have to make no adjustments. The bulbs i got are from 42dd, they might have some rear ones for you.

Are you saying that the break lights are probably going to look the same too(stock or LED that is)?
