you'd be suprised at how much the roof skin affects the stiffness of the car, it still has the ability to spread stresses across the whole top of the car, instead of just around the sides. Im gonna go with Ray on this one, probably not buckle, but its probably flexing a bit more. Still a pretty cool project, and as i say to all the roof related mods I see you do.. Props, I don't think I'd have the ***** to take a saw to the roof of my car.

 

open sky cars have rienforced a and c pillars. the center section works like strut tower brace, it doesnt allow the pillars to move inward.

 

How about some actual pictures instead of one poorly angled and cropped one...? Looks interesting from the limited visability you've given us though.

I sort of like the slicktop charm of the TT coupes, I always liked moonroofs and targas but the TT seems adequate without either. I wouldn't complain if a moonroof was an option though.
