I am really interested in running straight pipes (both cost and weight) just curious if anyone has an idea how to make it sound better. Would keeping the resonator help? I don't want it to sound like i drive a civic... cringe LOL

If you unbolt the clamp in between the cat and the muffler and slide it foward a little bit where theres a little gap then tighten it back it will sound pretty good, well I think it does. It's not to loud ideling and sounds real good when you get on it.

resinator(s) will help, but i would go with just a small strait through muffler. shouldnt weight to much and will help give it a better sound and less drone. You can get a small magnaflow on ebay, jegs, or summit etc.

I'm going to go Straight pipe I decided with the cat and resinator still on.
It goes in tomorrow at noon. he said if i get sick of the sound he's got a really small straight through mufflerhe can put on for 100 bucks.

He's charging me 100 bucks to put straight pipe duals on and i'm going to use the tips off the OEM muffler.
I'm sure it will drone but I didn't mind it.

There already is a sound clip haha
just hike up your skirt and do it. it's only 100 bucks.
If he puts it in right and you don't like it you can just bolt your OEM back in because the hangers are still there.
thats my mind set i guess.

The only thing keeping me from doing it is that I want the 3"DP as well. So I was thinking of doing that first and than get the straight pipes 3" as well. That and I havent found a local shop that will do it yet.

Well i'm sure most of us would enjoy the straight line power of an SRT4.
Granted there ugly there a dodge there ugly there a dodge did i remember to say there ugly?
There cheap built. Zero class.
Personally i don't like them but they do pack a pretty good punch in a straight line which should be respected.
I'm intested in less weight better flow and i think spending a grand on exhuast is a lot of cash.
But with most things it's a to each their own. Thank god for a broad aftermarket.

Well that clip I put up had the resinator off , could you put one up with your resinator on? I bet it would sound much better than without.
