My 01 TT got a light on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had the car for over a year now and I am not very familiar with the mechanics of it since they don't make a repair manual for it. The car has a check engine light on, it is giving the code P1136. I replaced the MAF sensor when I bought the car so I don't know where to start looking. I know it was not a brand new one but it was a reman from AUDI. Any help on this would be really good!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for your time.
don't make a repair manual for it?
what the hell is that bentley cd i have down at the garage then?
Bentley publishers makes a manual on cd comparable to that of the dealer i think.
I don't have my list of codes handy, so i cant help you there, but there ARE manuals for the car.

I new about the CD manual but I was making reference to those you can easily get at any autozone/autopart stores for 16 bucks. Since you have the CD u think you could give me a hand?

P1136 was caused by a vacuum leak in the pcv system (hoses under the intake manifold) on my car. Since you've already replaced the MAF recently, thats a good place to start. Get some starter fluid or carb cleaner and spray the vacuum hoses while the car is running and listen for a change in rpm's.
The thing that it only does it when you start the car and then it goes away. I have a boost gauge on the car so I can see that the vac drops some and then it goes away. These kind of issues are so hard to fix because it is not a constant so it is very hard to pin point the source of the problem. But I will be checking those hoses mentioned above thanks for the imput.
Will VAGCOM register any vac or boost irregularity? I know that it will not pinpoint or isolate the problem, but I am considering a turbo pressure test that I may just hold off on until I know the answer to this question...
