My baby's back!

My baby's back!
Well since Christmas, my little TT had trouble - seems one of the coilpacks snapped in two and made her idle hard. So she sat until today with a fresh set of Hitachi coilpacks and plugs.
Thanks to Steve(XCLR8TT) and ECS Tuning, she's purring like a kitten again.
Funny, it's only been two weeks she's been down - but she feels like a whole new car!
Well, it looks like it's gonna be a good year

RE: My baby's back!
Congrats!
I know how you feel, kinda my TT hasn't been out of commission for that long.
Now as soon as I get my baby back I'll be a happy camper as well!
Edit: Was just thinking about the separation anxiety I'm feeling, and I can't think of feeling this way about any other car... Its GOTTA be love!

Mine is put away till spring so don't talk to me about missing your tt for a few weeks. Ha-Ha
I miss it like crazy I've waxed it like 3 times now.
Every time i go into the garage i end up doing something to it.
if i can't drive it i'll least pretty it up a little.

RE: My baby's back!
I live in Minnesota.
There is so much crap on the roads in the winter from salt to snirt to just grime that my baby goes into the garage where it never gets below 45f haha.
Tonight i'm going to leather location it again see if i can make it even softer and smoother.
I was going to rotate my tires but I'm trying to sell the 20's off my truck so i can get a nice set of 18's for the TT.
So not much point to messing with the tires now.
Think i'll change teh Haldex fluid this weekend too long as i'm tinkering.

Hey, i noticed that you said truck, it seems that everyone from the northern states has two vehicles, a car or van and a truck. I was born in St. Paul, and grew up in ND, so I know what you mean about the roads that have salt on them, it eats thru paint in like 4-5years. Good thing ND dosent salt their roads, just put down dirt. Where you from in MN?

I'm from a small down between Albert Lea and Owatonna.
I work in Owatonna. which is just south of the cities right on I-35
Yup us midwest people seem to always have two rides.
My big 4X4 truck for playing in the snow and getting me to work safe when the roads get really bad.
and the car for everything else.
I als am big into ATV's and Dirt Bikes so the truck is a must for me. Can't strap a quad to the Audi's roof too well haha.

RE: My baby's back!
hey are you gonna prime the oil system before you start her up for the first time? We need to find out what size socket the crank pulley takes so we can turn the engine over by hand to get the lifters and rings oiled up. i'm not starting her up dry!!!! should be able to just turn the engine over by turning the crank pulley clockwise....does anyone know if that can be done while the serp belt is still on??? if not, its not too hard to take it off by any means
