-I just bought an air filter( cylindrical K&N, randomly picked it off the rack from autozone)
-I took the box off, the filter went great on that short plastic hose with the sensor on it.
-Realized there is also a small hose(plastic made) that went into that box... No clue what it is and why its there. But i realized i cant leave it like that.
-I went back to the store and i bought a small breather(unknown brand), and after coming back home, the breather was too small for my hose,
-I reinforced the little rubber at the entrance with scotch tape so it would fit just great on my little extra hose.
-Basically i now have 2 air filters one big one, and one very small one.

When I accelerate, my engine starts making this loud noise and when i let go, there's a loud "pshhhh" sound out of my engine bay. When the car is in neutral, it wouldn't make that noise...
-I am the most ghetto TT owner in the history of this forum...just tell me if I'm killing my car or this is normal... thank you...

everything is normal.

The stock airbox covered up much of the turbo noise. That whoosh you hear when letting off the gas under load is the DV releasing the boost pressure back into the intake pipe.

The extra little houseis for the secondary airpump that pulls air during cold starts. Most people just put a foam microphone cover over it.

 

Its a 710n and its far from super.

Like ryan said, everthing is normal and you cant make noise in N, no load and your dv isnt loud enough.

My bov in reverse is louder than your dv at full boost!

 

i know cincy... it's just a poor little stock dv, but can you imagine how it's going to sound if i get the 007 dv/bov on there??? can't wait!
I'm still amazed with that little "pshhh"... it reminds me of the EVO VIII that killed me a couple of days ago...
