My TT needs some help
I have a 2000 Audi TT v4 1.8, which I bought back in December. Well basically, the man lied to me about a whole boat load of issues that the car had, and it died on me back near the beginning of March.
The Bad:
Rough idle
Limp Mode
sputters constantly
The Repairs:
So far I have replaced,
The Coil Packs
The spark plugs
Mass Airflow Sensor
N75 Valve
Tensioner
Serpentine Belt
Battery (of course)
And Some Vacuum Hoses
If anyone could help me with this, I would be greatly appreciative.. I am at wits end with this thing, I do still love it though.

If the car is in limp mode I would start with a basic OBD-II scan for engine fault codes. This should give you some idea of what the problem is. If you have a VAG-COM scanner, that would be best to use, but the OBD should give us some direction the problem is in. Could you provide us with all the fault codes the computer is showing?
Hey Mark24! thanks for responding to my post. As far as codes go, the ones i remember seeing were idle air control valve, and misfiring on all cylinders. I was told that replacing the coil packs and spark plugs would fix the misfiring though. While changing them I realized I had to replace the valve cover gasket. I went to a a local mechanic and he said that my car was throwing throttle body codes as well as my turbo had gone bad... (or something like that, idk. im learning this car as I go.)
