Default Need help identifying a part

So this weekend I took my car to have the muffler delete. While the car was on the lift I got underneath it and noticed something broken. It's on the left rear side of the car. There is this thing that looks like some kind of a control arm. One end is bolted to the suspension part of the car. While the other end goes up to a switch that is on the body of the car. Well the thing that connects the rod to the switch is broken. Can anyone tell me what that is? Or if anyone has the rear of their car jacked up and can send me a pic of it.

My control arm isn't broken.. There is a rod that is bolted to the control arm. From there it goes up and copnnects to a switch. It's plastic, so the thing that connects the rod to the switch is the broken item. I am guessing that switch is some type of traction control. Cause it only moves up and down.Tells the car when all four tires are lvl'd or not I guess.

that should be the headlight balancing potentiometer. it is supposed to tell the computer where your suspension is front and rear. there is one on the front as well. i took both of mine off as i had the same problem. i never noticed a difference with them working or not. I know the front one is for headlights i can only assume the back one is as well. otherwise the computer would not know which way your nose is pointing (up or down)
