Default Need a new Diverter Valve

Hey Guys,

I picked picked up a 2000 TT a few days ago with a faulty diverter valve, i give it throttle and I can hear it leaking out boost like crazy.

Where is good place to pick up a new diverter valve for cheap?

Classifieds on AF or VWVortex (make sure its a 710n), or you could pick up an aftermarket valve. If you go AM get the APR R1

Are you positive its your diverter valve? I have had 2 diverter valves tear on me and both times I just got bad compressor surge ( fluttering sound when you let off the boost.) I never heard anything that would sound like a boost leak.

if money is really an issue, you will be fine going with an ebay dv. There are plenty of forge and turbosmart copies on there from about $50-100 and most are adjustable with either a **** or springs.

Actually this is what I mean when i hear it leak, I hear the same sound, i get that fluttering sound even with the gas on at around 2500 rpm, and a little loss of power then it's back

if you take off the lid to the airbox, you should be able to hear a honk as you shift that would indicate a torn diaphram. But it sounds like its already blown since it cant hold boost
