Default need some help!!!

hey guys,
im looking at a 01 audi tt coupe and was wondering if 100k miles and a lot of upgrades is worth 10k$$.
also would it be a good idea to buy this car, i read tt's have a lot of issues.
and would insurance be bad on this car for a 17 year old guy?

Ok.... you asked for it.

TT is absolutly not a good car for a 17 year old. They are not that reliable and extremely expensive to repair. Repairs still equate to repairs on a $40k car. Most people who can not do their own repairs sell the tt after exactly 1 year. Buying a 9 year old car likely beat (mods) that is expensive to fix is a bad idea, unless you can do the repairs yourself. I've had my tt for a while, this is good info! I would look into other cars at your age (IMO).

Insuracne is going to be higher, but should be less then something like a v8 mustang or camaro. Its going to be higher then something like a civic, prelude, scion, ect.

I doubt it would fit two snowboards, maybe if you put them on top of the shifter. You can't even really fit a paper bag standing up in the rear hatch of the coupe.

More info is needed on the tt you are looking at to determine if its a good deal or not. Need to know if its the 180 hp or 225 hp 1.8l, the mods, and if reccords/history is availabe.

thank you i like the info
i read somewhere someone was able to fit 2 boards in the back.. dunno

its at 100k miles and has been taken care of... always used synthetic oil, changed the belt cam and all that.

mods are just.. top of the line sound system so nothing with the engine.

edit- its 180hp
uhmm what records would be needed to check?
and i do TT's need extensive repair? like every week something breaks?
i can do and will probably learn to do most of the stuff myself.
