Default Need some serious help

Ok well its good to be back and here is a update on my car. First of it runs great, hits 18 lbs of boost like it should, I don't have any type of mechanical problems at all. I tried to hook up my Vag-Com but it said that my K line is shorted. I called Ross Tech and they said that its shorted somewhere. Also my doors will not lock using they key or the switch on the inside. My trunk will no pop using the switch on the inside. My gas tank cap will not pop using the switch on the inside. My reading ligts work sometime and sometime they don't. The windows work using the switches, but its like all the switches that are on the inside of the car in the center area don't work. Also the top will not go down, cause you guessed it the switch dosent work. I checked fuse 12 and its good. Also to throw a curve but my brake light comes on very faint every now and then or it may blink like something is shorting out kinda but its always on even when the e-brake is down all the way. Does anyone have any ideas.....??? Thanks for the help.

Your car sat for too long, and a squirrel was hungry.
I'd start checking connections, using vagcat.com for wiring diagrams.
Good luck and welcome home! You're just in time for H20!

No problem!
Oh just a thought... Not sure what plug it takes (I know it's different from the vag-com cable), but you can pull the ecu and plug it directly into a laptop.
When I was trying to get flashed the first time this was an option, dood called it bench flashing.
It's worth a shot to avoid the dealer! Maybe call autozone and see if they could do it?

with the help of the stealership and my bently manual I was able to figure out that my "control module for central locking" was the problem. if you have a roadster its in the roadster top storage area on the pass. side. you will see a flap open that and its inside under the carpet. it controls most all electronics and works with the K line hense the reason my vag com didn't work. cool!!!
