New 2001 TT 180 - Thanks
Thanks to all who helped with advice. I purchased a 2001 180 FWD with 19K miles on it, from an 82 year old great grandmother. She is a good friend and I had driven the car many times, when she called me up and offered it to me @ $13,500. What could I say? She picked my son and I up at the airport in her red a3, with 67 miles on the odometer. She can drive too!
thanks again

You get what you can get. Overall the car is a hoot to drive. Did the 975 miles in back to Colorado in 13 hours. I have never had a FWD Audi, alway's a quattro. FWD makes some of those high speed turns a little spicier.
It is probably the the most beautifully designed car I have ever owned. Or at least in the top two.

What's the other contender for "most beautifully designed"?
Awesome deal on that car! Mine cost the same with 55k on it.
Btw FWD sucks compared to quattro trust me[sm=nonono.gif] No more hard launches without worrying about traction...*sigh*

I owned a 1972 Citroen SM. A beautiful car in every way. The Maserati v6 was a work of art. By the way, i think FWD does not suck compared to quattro, just different. I might have to sell it before winter, maybe buy a higher mileage quattro in November, before it starts to snow. That reminds me to check to see if my snowboard fits in the back! I assume it will.
