Default New Audi TT Owner

Hello everyone,

My name is Martin. I just purchased a nice 2003 Audi TT Quattro Roadster this weekend! I'm excited - it's a fun car!

I have a few questions maybe this group can help answer.

1. The key fob I have doesn't seem to work. Can the battery be changed, or are there instructions for programming it available anywhere? I pulls into two pieces, but I can't figure this out.. I did order a new fob/blank, and will have it cut, but of course that will need programming too.

2. Is there some place I can get an owners manual? Either download, purchase, etc... Unfortunately my car had no manual..

Thanks! Look forward to chatting with others here!

congrats !
programing your key is really easy... put the key in the drivers door lock...turn it clockwise ... let the car beep...wait like 5 more sec.s turn it counter clock wise and wait about 5sec. and it should be good...
and yes u can change the battery in the fobs. the cut and program a new one you will have to take it to a vw audi dealer and will cast around $120

here is a ebay link to a owners manual http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=250548332406

Well, I figured out how to get the battery, and replaced it. I also followed the steps above to try and reprogram, but alas, my remote still doesn't work. Hopefully the new one I ordered will, and it's not something more serious on the car side!
