Default New Car??

I am thinking of gettting a new car in the spring (selling the SUV)and am playing with some ideas in my head. I was wanting your guys opinions and info. Here is what I have come up with. The car must have a turbocharger, be able to carry a family, (Two parents and a child), and a manual. Other than that it needs to be under about 23K to fit into my budget. SRT-4's are out already I can stand them. I am playing with a VW, Subaru, Evo, I dont know anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

If I was buying another car, it'd probably be a BMW 325ix, but it all depends on how new of a car you're looking for, that may be too much of a project car, and not enough family car.

What about a '04 subie legacy gt? Sti power/performace (well most of the performance) with a better overall look and far better interior.

On your way home you can stop in Europe somewhere and get a Seat Ibiza or a Ford Focus RS (awd, turbocharger making 280hp)

Plus a Passat and A4 both are nice cars too. My brother Passat ('03 b5.5) is really nice, and big to.

New GTi's are pretty nice.

I had one that was just about even with me from light to light the other night, I forgot to take off my traction control, but It still would have been close.

Edit: I like Volvo and Saab too...
