just picked up 01 tt 225 and had a question on some of the parts in the car.... in the little compartment that the gas tank opener and trunk.... what's the middle button... also how do you change time and date on the instrument cluster... thanks.

 

middle button is to disable the motion sensor for the alarm. use it if you need to lock the car with a kid or a dog or something, or the alarm will go off anytime something moves. door has to be open, then you hit the button, light should light up, and you're good to lock the door. it auto-resets next time you unlock the car, so the default is motion sensor 'on'.

time and date would be by pulling on the little stalk, and clicking clockwise to change the number. Pull, click right to set hour, pull to switch to minute, click right to set minute, etc....

 

ohhhhh i have to finally tell this story.. I didn't know what it was for either at first

When i bought the car I flew out to get it, then drove it 16hours home.. After a long flight and all the paperwork it was about 5pm, so i made it going till about 2-3am and finally stopped in a trucker station and locked the doors and tried to get some sleep.. 5minutes later my alarm starts going crazy.. i unlocked and locked it up again.. 5minutes later the same thing.. after a little while i started pushing buttons and after half the truckers staring at me and the ladies in the waffle house next door looking out the windows, i finally got some sleep !
so don't feel bad !

 

i was so burned out on my drive to colorado a few years back, i fell asleep before I even got the car turned off. slept 3hrs with it running at a truck stop. killed my gas mileage....
