What are some of the common problems with the car?

That is alot of miles, taking a chance, Reliable I think so, I drive mine daily as it is the only car I own. Ask when the timing belt kit was done? I find mine very reliable as I do the same! Maintain and repair myself. I would offer $4000. If he can't show doc's of when the T-Belt was done. For that repair is close to $1,300 so it would even out!
I mean less $500 for the miles!

@coachvtt,

I am very thank full for your input. if i do end up buying this car and the person did not do t-belt(i thought it was a chain). have you done this service? can you tell me how much the parts were? me and a friend can do the job. would you also suggest doing the water pump? and is there anything else you suggest that i do. it seems really hard to get info from some of you seasoned tt owners. so any response is welcomed from any tt enthusiast. i love german cars i have had a few mb.bmw but this will be my first Audi and i am very excited about the idea of a audi.

There are a few kits ranging from $109-$600 Link here
Yes water pump is a must with the timing belt.
Parts that must be replaced:
timing belt
timing belt damper
timing belt tensioner
timing belt roller
water pump
engine bushing stretch bolts
Camshaft seal
Camshaft chain tensioner gasket and half moon

While you're at it check your chain tensioner pads. If they are week and have deep grooves, replace the pads or the whole tensioner.

This is the bare minimum in my opinion. If you do this all at once, everything else can be accessed a without touching the timing.

That's not the case.....
Understand, your question has been asked in one form or another hundreds of times on this forum. A little research and/or searching would have given you plenty of information. Most of us are glad to help but patience levels from answering the same questions over and over gets tiring.
The FAQ section is also a good source.

witch would you pick

option A $7800

AUDII TT ROADSTER QUATTRO 225 HP ALL WHEEL DRIVE TURBO
110K MILEAGE
RARE BASEBALL STITCHING AND INTERIOR FINISH INCLUDING STEARING WHEEL, STICK, DOORS,ETC.
6-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION
ESP- ESP stands for Electronic Stability Programme. This monitors the speed, steering angle, throttle settings and has sensors on the car suspensions linkages. This will back off the throttle or apply braking adjustments to wheels to attempt to keep the car on the road when the car is driven close to its limit.
HEATED SEATS
ORIGINAL PAINT CAR IS FREE FROM MAJOR ACCIDENTS/HAS A SMALL DENT ON FRONT FENDER
HAVE ORIGINAL MANUALS, SWITCHBLADE KEY/REMOTE COMBO
HAVE TOURNOUE COVER THAT I NEVER EVEN USED, THIS HIDES THE CONVERTIBLE TOP WHEN DOWN AND I PURCHASED ON EBAY FOR $500.00. WILL BE GIVEN WITH THE CAR
CAR RUNS 100% AND I USE EVERY DAY TO DRIVE ABOUT 2 MILES TO WORK.
JUST REPLACED ALL THE TIRES WITH BALANCE AND THE BATTERY.
KNOWN PROBLEMS AND IMPERFECTIONS:
I AM TRYING TO BE HONEST SO THAT THERE ARE NO DISSAPOINTMENTS.
1) THE DRIVERS SEAT HAS A TEAR WHERE YOU PUT YOU TUSH. THIS CAN BE EASILY COVERED WITH A SHEEPSKIN COVER.
2) THE FUEL GUAGE AND TEMPERATURE GUAGES ARE NOT VERY ACCURATE. THEY START AT 50% THIS IS A COMMON AUDI TT PROBLEM AND CAN BE RESEARCHED VIA GOOGLE
3) THE TURN SIGNALS HAVE TO BE MANUALLY PRESSED AND SOMETIMES DONT WORK. THIS ALSO IS A COMMON AUDI TT PROBLEM AND HAS TO DO WITH THE SIGNAL ARM SENSOR IN THE STEERING COLUMN AND CAN BE RESEARCHED VIA GOOGLE.
4) I HAD A PIONEER XM SATELITE RADIO AND CD PLAYER INSTALLED WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT CAR. IT HAS STOPPED WORKING.I HAVEN’T CHECK-OUT, COULD BE A SIMPLE FUSE BEHIND THE RADIO. I DON’T KNOW SO ANTICIPATE REPLACING. I ALSO HAVE A MULTIPLE CD CHANGER BEHIND THE DRIVERS SEAT.
5) THE BODY IS ORIGINAL AND THE PAINT IS GOOD. THERE ARE SOME IMPERFECTIONS, THE DRIVERS DOOR HAS A 3 INCH DEEP SCRATCH, THE REAR DECK HAS A SMALL RUST SPOT WHERE THE WING AND THE TRUNK MEET (THE SIZE OF A DIME AND IT HAS NOT GONE THROUGH), THE FRONT DAM HAS A SMALL CRACK ABOUT 2 INCHES FROM EXITING A DRIVEWAY. ALSO WAS HIT IN PARKING LOT AND FRONT FENDER HAS A SMALL DENT , NO BIG PROBLEM.
6) THE INTERIOR GLOVE BOX LOCK HAS BROKEN. IT DOES NOT OPEN EASILY. I HAVE THE PART AND IT MAY BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. CHECK ON EBAY FOR GLOVEBOX PRICING.
7) THE RIMS HAVE AVERAGE AMOUNT OF CURB RASH.
8) THE REAR RIOHT TAILIGHT HAS A CRACK.

THAT‘S ABOUT IT. I HAVE OWNED FOR 3 YEARS AND PAID OVER $16,000 WHITH TAXES AND FEES. YOU CAN OWN IT FOR A LOT LESS THAN I PAID FOR IT.OVERALL THE CAR IS VERY CLEAN, ORIGINAL AND UNMOLESTED. IT RUNS VERY GOOD, WAS ADULT DRIVEN, AND IS GOOD ON GAS. WILL MAKE AN EXCELLENT TOY.COME TAKE IT OUT FOR A SPIN. I LIVE IN THE ANNADALE PART OF STATEN ISLAND.
I AM NEGOTIALBLE ON THE PRICE. COME BUY AND TAKE IT OUT FOR A TEST DRIVE, THEN MAKE ME AN OFFER.

IHAVE INCLUDED THE VIN SO YOU CAN CHECK VIA CARFAX, (SEND ME AN EMAIL WITH IT IF YOU DO THANKS)
