Hey all... I just joined as I am about to buy my first Audi and was hoping or a little feedback as to common issues, or maintenance things. I am seriously thinking about a 2000 tt 1.8t manual. I was a southern car and has absolutely no rust and seems to be pretty well maintained though the entire front suspension likely needs some refreshing.

I just purchased a '04 TT and really like the vehicle. The car is tight and everything is functioning as it should. Can't really offer any advice at this point but, take your time and find one that has been cared for and is in good working order. Mine did not come with records so part of my bargaining price was based on having to replace the timing belt and components.

Just my observation; this forum does not seem to offer a lot of feedback or help with issues. Almost 200 folks have viewed your thread and not ONE has offered a "hello" or any advice whatsoever...definitely not a bunch of DIY'ers on this forum. So, hello, and good luck with your search.

Thanks for the input for sure. I am sooooo close on finishing this extensive job I started and can't wait to get out on the road!! Really just need to put on the new serpentine belt and re-fill and pressure test my cooling system.

I am finding it strange that there are not may "good" sites for TT's. I had a 3 series before this and there all kinds of communities with tons of help and DYI tips.
