OBD plug location
if yours is left hand drive then its on the other side because these pictures are for right hand drive

Man it would be wierd driving a TT on the right hand side, shifting with your left hand, how do the pedals go? are they the same or they backwards too? (sorryI know us in the US are backwards to others)
every thing is the same only difference is your on the wrong side lol but seriously the only difference is changing gear with the other hand and looking at the side walk from the driver seat in the UK
now back to the question in hand its definitely not a square DLC and is 16 pin so I would count them to confirm it, some might look square because they are surrounded by a protective piece of plastic but its not part of the DLC so try and plug the cable in this will confirm it
