So I'm thinking of trading the TT for a 2004 R32. Any objections?

Pros/Cons?
Don't you like the GTI?

the mark 4 R32 is one of the best dubs ever...

i had a regular mark 4 GTI before the TT though, and while i loved the storage space and versatility, that thing was just falling apart....
the glove box broke, the wipers broke, the headlights yellowed, the sideview mirror joystick broke off, the lever to bring the front seat forward broke, the exhaust rusted off, the leather was thin and got all wrinkly from use, man, need i go on? all within 1.5 years of owning it...

nice car but not enough build quality there IMO. but like i said, for a dub, its one of the coolest going!!

Straight up trade?

It's been nice knowing you, and it would be stupid not to trade IMO.

I'm surprised to hear that. Sounds like it's not a vehicle specific problem but rather an overall VW problem.

No not a straight up trade. Selling the TT and buying an R32. Probably wont be for awhile because there are none close by. I'm also going to be extremely picky this time and make sure to find the right one.

I've been seeing a lot of 35-55k mi R32 going for 21-24kish.

I really just want to trade up for a 225 Roadster but at this point in my life a 2 seater isn't going to be practical for much longer.

So why not keep you car, mod it a little more past the point ofabolt on 225and have it as your weekend / project car, then go out and buy an a4 or similar for the money you would put into the R32?

Or 225Q Coupe. If you're planning on popping out some kids the back seats will be good until they become 4' tall
