I think all of Schwing's products are great. The most difficult part of installing the **** is getting the security Torx screws off the MAF. Once that is done, installation is a piece of cake. Also, don't forget the 4 bar Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR). The whole set up makes a bit more low end power and smooths out the power band (at least IMO).

****= Mass Oxygen Flow Optimizer.

Basically it increases the ID of the MAF housing allowing more air to pass, but requires the 4 bar FPR to work or it will throw a lean code CEL.

way to much for minimum gains. money would be spent elsewhere. the only reason to buy one is if you've done everything else to the car and never plan on swapping turbos.

Pretty much my feeling too. Honestly I am not too sure on the theory of this item as well as you have more restriction between the MAF and the turbo anyways. A properly tapered coupler between the air filter and MAF should do just as much if not more than the ****.

well im thinking about going stage 3 modshack and yes im getting a k04 in about 6 months... after my milltek exhaust (courtesy strat).. So, in saying that, a **** and of course the 4bar fpr would be neccessary for me correct?

if you swap turbos, the sw for it will require certain maf and fpr, so why spend it only to replace it later?

^ because even if you go to a bigger turbo you can still use the ****...most people use a 3in maf housing like the 225 has and the **** is just a little bigger than that 3.15...i installed the **** and BM and 4bar at the same time i did the FMIC,and cleaning throttle body and injectors. so yes i noticed a huge difference in power....i keep my bm at 20psi to conserve gas and save the turbo a bit for resale when BT comes into play.
