clean the oil off the filter and use some sand paper to get a gripon it. took me about an hour to get it out the first time i did it (damn mechanics). Just takes some time to find the right angle to get the most torque on the filter.

U have to take the bottom cover off to get at the drain plug, the filter is easy with the right tools but couldn't get it out the bottom & so had to ballance it at the bottom untill i reached down from above & got it out that way!

Bottom and it will have to turn sideways to get out. Then go out get a FMIC and remove all that crap under there and oil changes are way to easy!!

I didn't have a problem getting mine off. Once it was off, I just tugged on the hose that is in the way and slid it right by it. I was actually surprised because the guy @ wal-Mart said it was a PITA. Then again, I am missing a ton of fastener screws from the splashguard thing too. not to mention it was on a lift, and I had two rollaways of tools. -shrugs-

**I always get the Fram filters with Grippy stuff on them too.
