A friend of mine who's granfather owns a mechanic shop that specializes in Audi, VW, and BMW said that the oil filters have been recalled on some of the TTs but he couldn't remember off the top of his head which trims they were recalled on.

I just bought a Mobile 1 filter to do an oil change and I was wondering how I could find out if it would be ok to use, or if the recall even has to do with my trim. I have a 2000 TT 180hp FWD.

Nevermind, I did a search on the recalls listed for the 2000 TT 180hp FWD and the filter was not listed. It did however have a couple suspension recalls and a fuel line recall (VERY limited), so I will have to have those checked out.
