Default TT oil sludge / auto-rx treatment?

I recently escaped the black death with my 2000 Saab 9-3 Viggen with 125K miles. I'm now running Rotella T Synth 5w40 with the auto-rx sludge treatment in the Saab. After learning the TT is similarly prone to sludge, I'm looking to be proactive.

I have a 2001 TT (225HP). ~57K miles but I have only put on 2K/year over the last few years and store in the winter. Most of the miles have been run on Mobile 1 0W40. The last couple years, I've stopped going to the dealer (I moved)...been going to a Goodyear shop. I'm not sure what brand oil they used (shame on me), but I know it has been synth.

Two questions:
1. Can/should I run the same Rotella 5w40 in the TT? If not, what would be the best recommendation for a type III synth (auto-rx needs dyno or type III if synth)?
2. Has anyone tried auto-rx (see www.auto-rx.com) in the TT? It's supposed to remove the sludge slowly to avoid dislodging crap.

cincyTT put out a list of recommended oils, but the link no longer works.

Thanks!
Mike
