Ok, last question! Haldex
Alright, Tonight I'm heading out to NJ to pick up my TT finally, I'm so excited to finally be a TT owner [or at least if things go well] And I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find this.
How can you inspect the haldex fluid? What tool do you need to open the check hole? And does anyone have a diagram? I leave at 7 tonight, I would REALLY appreciate the help. The owner said they've done all the maintenence themselves, and I want to make sure the haldex system wasn't neglected.

Theres no checking it really, the only entries you can get to are the drain plug in the bottom, and the filter. Ask them specifically when, and with what frequency the haldex fluid was changed, and if you're not 100% comfortable with the answer, it'll cost you about $60 or so for the fluid and filter. (you fill it thru the drain hole). Its another $40 for the special wrench to get the filter loose, if you buy it from www.modshack.info. Called the 'H-wrench'.
I wouldn't call that excessive, I was told the timing belt had just been done on my car when I bought it, but I couldn't find any documentation as to whether or not the water pump and tensioner were changed, or just the belt. So, with about 4000 miles since the timing belt change, I changed the timing belt, and EVERYTHING that should be changed with it. As it turns out, it DIDN'T have the waterpump changed, and the thermostat needed changing too. Now I have some peace of mind.

I'll post a couple pictures of the TT tonight, I'm gonna go mess with her a little right now

Glad you made it back safely.
Now go check that "oil leak"! You'll need t-25 (torx star * shaped) screw driver to take the skid plate off.
I still can't believe you traveled all the way from Michigan!
Incase you were wondering your code was for the secondary air pump - improper flow.
That's the ticking you hear...
