Overheating Issue
Wrote up a well written, detailed post about the issue but apparently it signed me out and I lost it all... Soo heres the gist of it
New Thermostat, New Water Pump, Flushed and New Coolant, New Oil
Intake Manifold Gasket Leak, Cleaned up area with brake cleaner, New hidden vacuum lines and gasket in this week, issue started since i cleaned this area. happened twice in 3 days.
Run car till operating temp, Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, its overheated while turned off... Aux Coolant pump works... dont hear any fans kick on though, car doesnt overheat while driving... only when i shut it off long enough to heat up the coolant but not long enough to cool off the block. once overheated... normal driving conditions will not reduce coolant temp... only thing that seemed to work was coasting for 10-20 seconds to cool fluid in radiator then revving to 3k-3.5k rpms to push it through the system... used to do it on the bike... worked both times and stayed at operating temp till i turned it off again. weird part about that is... it was almost in the red... after revving to 3.5k, it dropped to operating temp in less than 10 seconds... i thought maybe a bad sensor?... but opened the coolant tank slowly with it saying its hot and ya... it was almost a bad day, went to blast out and got the cap sealed again... so coolant is hot, engine is hot, sensor isnt lying... but how could a short burst of cool fluid completely cool the entire system in less than 10 seconds lol...
im hoping fan switch and maybe air in system...will go check that out now... anyone with any input? i cant think off why idle, running, running hard, hot day, cool day... sitting in sun all day... no difference... it runs fine... stop the engine... stuff goes to hell... any help would be great thanks guys!

well tried to get more air out of the system and did, seems to be betterish, tried to get it to overheat at idle and worst was creep up one notch then fans would kick on and cool it off, let it sit for 10 mins started and was fine, tried multiple times, went for a quick drive slammed through first 4 gears and rocketed up to overheating check coolant level came up, pulled over, dropped right back down to normal temp... maybe it is the sensor?
Can I get that bleeding process from you? I recently replaced my temp sensor and have not gotten around to bleeding the system. Car runs a little warmer then usual but well under 3/4 of the temp gauge. It wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead and swap out the temp sensor, just to be on the safe side of things.
