Default Painted Engine Covers and DIY Engine Cover Hardware

So I painted my Engine Covers this weekend. The grey was obviously WAY off. It was the same on the can.. different on the plastic. Steve is sending my a sample of the charcoal mettalic he had laying around so I can go get it color matched. Then the grey is getting redone and I'll paint in the audi rings, 5v, and turbo. Still looks decent in my opinion. Made a huge difference.

I also put together my own hardware kit for my engine covers. Works great. Nothing like DIY for less money then you can buy something for. Also there is thatfeeling of accomplishment.

Nice job. Can you provide more info on the hardware? The stock plastic stuff is junk. I found a kit somewhere but they want $100 - not in my budget.

I have to purchase 1 more piece (3 of it actually) and I'll be set. Total is $17 right now for my hardware. I think it should be around $20 or $22 when all said and done.

WOOHOO.
