Default Plan to buy a 2001 TT

Hi i am really new about cars so i just want to do you guys think buying a 2001 TT 5 speed 180hp with 50000miles for 9000 is a good deal? thanks

you'll need to change the timing belt / tensioner - if it is the original - $700 if you have a shop do it

also things you want to check out...
the instrument cluster - make sure its not missing lines and that it works correctly.
make sure the glovebox opens and closes.
get the codes for the radio - audi charges you $50 for them

agreed about changing the TB.

agreed about it being a good deal.

i have an 01 225 6-speed and i paid 17500 for it less than a year ago.

like i said a while back- its crazy how low the prices on these cars have dropped in the last year or so. ever since the "new" model came out the mark 1's value is going down the toilet.

if you can step into a clean TT for under 10K i would say go for it!!

hell at a price like that maybe i should look into getting a second one next year =)

If the body is good and it runs well, i dont see why not. Hell, i would buy it and sell it here for $12k
