Default Post Remap problems: Help needed!

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a problem i'm having with my Audi TT;

I had a revolution remap done to my 2001 Audi TT 225 at a local garage and have been having problems ever since, the problem is, under boost in 4th, 5thor 6th gear the turbo whistling noise changes to a kind of sucking noise that doesn't sound very healthy, then after a couple of seconds the ESP warning light comes on and stays on until i turn the ignition off. The ESP light then clears itself when starting the car again.

The car even though being noisy doesn't seem to be down on power and is much quicker than before the remap.

I've had it on a Vagcom and the code i got was 16487, which is 'mass air flow high reading'.

I changed the MAF sensor for a new Bosch one and the car still does the same thing, and the above code came straight back.

Then after reading some forum posts, it was suggested that the standard plastic divertor valve on the TT wasn't really good enough for a remapped car and it recommended an upgraded forge motorsport item, which i have just fitted to my car and... the car is still doing the same thing!

Has anyone seen this problem before or does anyone have any idea what the problem may be before i waste more money!!???

any advice would be much appreciated

dont the 225s have a weak TIP (turbo inlet pipe)? my guess would be that once your getting under that heavier boost your TIP is collapsing causing the car to choke.

my only other guess would be your coilpacks... coilpacks tend to wear out quicker once you are chipped, as mine did.

someone *cough cincy cough* will chime in though about the TIP, i think that could be it

First thing you should do if you havent is drop the spark plug gap to .028 if you havent. It does sound like a tip problem. It can easily be fixed with a silicone tip and sometimes with a free flowing intake.
